A classic British miniseries based on the 1843 novella by Charles Dickens.
The three-part series was written by Steven Knight with Tom Hardy and Ridley Scott among the executive producers.
Working closely in a tight-nit art department our days were filled with the slightly darker re-imagining of ‘A Christmas Carol’, from sombre graveyards to the intimate correspondence between characters.
Varying levels of calligraphy were key in undertaking this project with Charis Theobald (lead Designer), we shared the task of managing character hand-doubles and the meticulous paper trail of Scrooge and Cratchit.
Graphic elements were crafted on an array of materials from gold bank safes to slate, wood and stone.
